Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Junior Backend Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team here at Whitewood Media Denver. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and APIs to support our web applications. Duties

• Develop and maintain backend components using technologies such as Rust, Node.js, TypeScript, etc.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and web services to support front-end applications.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate UI components with server-side logic using frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to best practices in OOP and database design.
• Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Utilize version control systems such as GitHub, SVN, or TFS to manage code repositories effectively.
• Engage in Agile development processes to deliver iterative improvements and features.
• Work with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure for deployment and scaling of applications.
• Collaborate on microservices architecture and implement API integrations using SOAP or REST protocols.
• Contribute to continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for streamlined releases.
• Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to backend development.

Skills

• Knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, Bootstrap, and UI/UX principles.
• Familiarity with databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or PL/SQL; including database design and query optimization.
• Understanding of RESTful API design principles and web services (SOAP/REST).
• Experience with version control systems like GitHub or TFS; knowledge of CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and SDLC processes.
• Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS or Azure for application deployment and management.
• Skills in debugging complex issues across multiple layers of the application stack.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
