Patti's Swim School is seeking a committed, warm, and skilled instructor to join our team long-term. We pride ourselves on offering high-quality, consistent instruction in a positive, supportive environment - for both students and instructors.

Position: Part-Time Year-Round Swim Instructor (20 - 30 hours/week)

What We're Looking For:

• A naturally warm and positive communicator who genuinely enjoys working with children and families.
• Ability to confidently teach water skills to babies, Baby & Me classes, young children, adults, and swimmers of varying abilities.
• Able to follow established curriculum
• Strong swimming skills and at least 2 years of prior swim instruction experience
• Someone reliable, coachable, and committed to long-term growth with our team
• Availability at least two days per week, with the opportunity to expand your schedule
• A professional who understands punctuality, safety, and consistency

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years swim instruction experience
• Two professional references
• Experience with special needs students is a plus
• Ability to start immediately and work year-round
• Strong attendance record
• Long-term commitment strongly preferred
• Must live within 20 miles of Castro Valley

What You'll Bring

• Must adhere to a consistent schedule
• Ability to lead fun and engaging swim lessons for all ages and skill levels
• Able to swim and teach: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, treading water and diving.
• Creating a safe and inclusive environment for all students and all abilities
• Providing positive and constructive feedback and motivation to help swimmers achieve their goals

If you have over three years of experience teaching swim lessons or special needs training there is a chance for increased starting pay.
