Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Web Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality web applications and websites. This role involves working across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) with a focus on creating responsive, user-friendly interfaces and robust backend systems. The Web Developer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions that meet business needs and enhance user experience (UX). Experience with modern frameworks, cloud platforms, and DevOps practices is highly valued.
Responsibilities
Required technology/platform/tool experience:
- Technologies/languages: CSS including SCSS, HTML/HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, Node.js, NPM
- Platforms: WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify
- Tools: SQL, MySQL, Git, Project Management tool (such as Teamwork, Asana, etc.), wp-cli
- Experience with Elementor page builder
- Practical experience building plugin and themes with the WordPress API.
Plugin selection and technical support
- Utilize best practices to select plugins
- Ability to debug issues with plugins and use support channels to resolve
WooCommerce and Data integrations
- WooCommerce implementations with other eCommerce associated plugins
- Data Imports
- Experience with Data Integrations with other systems
Team and Client Support
- Works closely with the Web Support Specialist, providing support to several clients per week
- When needed, work directly with clients
Qualifications
- 2-5 years experience doing WordPress development
- Applicants with the experience with these additional technologies will be preferred:
1) .Net framework 4.x (for support of older systems) - Basic familiarity with VB.net, pages, and user controls
2) .Net 8 - Basic familiarity with MVC Views (C#)
3) Foundation UI Framework
4) Photoshop
5) WP Engine hosting environments
- Familiar with SEO practices, ADA Compliance practices (WCAG 2.2 and higher), security practices
- UI/UX Design skills a plus
- Excellent testing skills and experience with testing frameworks like Cypress.io and Mocha.
- Strong communicator, can speak the same language as others and write clearly for technical and non-technical audiences
- Team oriented with the ability to be self-directed when needed
- Applicants with experience working directly with clients, applying some basic business analysis and project management skills are preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
