Job Summary
The IT Specialist is responsible for supporting and maintaining the company’s technology systems to ensure smooth day-to-day operations across office, warehouse, and field environments. This role supports office staff, project managers, and field employees by maintaining hardware, software, networks, and security systems critical to an electrical contracting business.

Duties

  • Provide day-to-day IT support for office and field employees (desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices)
  • Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot company hardware, software, printers, and mobile devices
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and security across company systems and applications
  • Support time-tracking, project management, and accounting systems
  • Maintain company network infrastructure, including internet connectivity, Wi-Fi, and VPN access
  • Assist with cybersecurity measures, data backups, and system updates
  • Coordinate with third-party IT vendors and service providers as needed
  • Maintain IT documentation, asset tracking, and technology policies
  • Support onboarding/offboarding of employees by setting up and disabling system access
  • Troubleshoot technology issues at job sites as needed
  • Recommend technology improvements to increase efficiency and security
  • Ensure compliance with company IT policies and data security standards

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of IT support or systems administration experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience supporting both office and field-based employees
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365, share point, Windows operating systems, and mobile device management
  • Basic understanding of networking, cybersecurity, and data backup practices
  • Strong communication skills and customer-service mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience supporting construction or electrical contracting environments
  • Familiarity with timekeeping, and project management software
  • Experience with cloud-based systems and remote access tools
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
