The Kohn Law Firm has been practicing law in downtown Milwaukee for over 65 years, repeatedly winning the highest accolades from clients across the nation. We’ve been consistently growing in recent years, building out additional office space this year, and looking to grow our IT team accordingly.

The IT Systems Administrator will contribute to the continued success of Kohn Law Firm by taking responsibility for the maintenance, configuration, protection, and reliable operation of computer systems, servers, and infrastructure. This includes hardware and software installation, as well as research and development of programs to help continuously keep up with the business needs of the Firm. This position will support approximately 175 employees both in the office and with remote access.

IT Systems Administrator duties include:

  • Maintaining IT infrastructure, including networks, operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
  • Performing server administration tasks (e.g.: user/group, security permissions, group policies, print services).
  • Developing and implementing maintenance procedures, monitoring system health, gathering system statistics, and troubleshooting reported errors, alarms, and issues as they arise.
  • Managing regular backup operations and implementing appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced analytical skills in order to evaluate our systems and ensure they meet our current and future needs for performance and security. Candidates should have demonstrated competencies in the following areas:

  • Desktop/Server/Network Security
  • Hosted MS Exchange
  • MS Active Directory
  • MS Office
  • MS Group Policy
  • Hyper-V Virtual Machines
  • SQL Databases

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
