Seeking someone who is interested in an on-call/as needed position as Systems/Network Administrator for a non-profit organization located in Concord, CA. The need is based on when the organization has a scheduled event or a need to maintain existing systems and network.

The Systems/Network Administrator will report directly to the Board of Directors.

The individual will oversee the building's access system (key fobs), the sound system, touch screens, lighting controls, alarm system, camera system, and all electronic systems within the building.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

Technical Knowledge & Skills:

• Experience managing Crestron AV systems for exhibits and presentations.
• Proficiency in Cisco Meraki networking (firewalls, switches, and Wi-Fi management).
• Knowledge of Axis NVR and security camera systems (configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting).
• Familiarity with Nexrev EMS or similar environmental/energy management systems.
• Understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, and cloud-based IT solutions.
• Ability to perform network security administration (firewalls, VPNs, access controls).
• Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell or Python) is a plus.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in IT administration, networking, or AV system management.

Soft Skills & Work Approach:

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with museum staff and vendors.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

• On-site, full-time role with occasional after-hours support for maintenance and emergencies.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.

Preferred Certifications (Not Required but a Plus):

• Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist or CCNA
• Crestron Certified Programmer (CCP)
• Axis Certified Professional
• CompTIA Network+ or Security+

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $38.50 - $48.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Evening shift
• On call
• Weekends as needed
