Job Title: OCI Engineer (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Engineer)
Location: Remote
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) solutions and services.
- Administer cloud-based environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to deploy cloud-native applications.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
- Perform cloud migrations and manage the ongoing lifecycle of cloud resources.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to OCI services, networking, storage, and compute.
- Monitor cloud environments and provide recommendations for improvements in system performance and cost-efficiency.
- Implement and enforce security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance requirements.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for cloud architecture, configurations, and operational processes.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other teams and end-users.
- Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and best practices in cloud computing and OCI services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or a similar cloud platform.
- Proficiency in cloud networking, storage, compute, and security services.
- Experience with cloud automation and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security practices, including encryption, IAM, and network security.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., OCI Monitoring, CloudWatch, Prometheus).
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certification (OCI Architect Associate or Professional) is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) in addition to OCI.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with database services such as Oracle Autonomous Database, Oracle DB, or similar.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $1,400,000.00 - $1,420,000.00 per year
