Job Overview:

The Director of IT Services is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, development, and management of IT services. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality IT solutions to clients while optimizing internal IT operations. The Director will lead a team of onsite and outsourced offshore IT professionals and collaborate closely with sales, operations, and customer service teams to drive business growth, client satisfaction, and technological innovation. This role will report to the Pres/CEO and will be based in Houston, Texas. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Key Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s degree or higher a plus).

· 12+ years of experience in IT services with at least 5 years in a midlevel leadership role, ideally within an MSP environment.

· Strong knowledge of managed IT services, networking, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, and AI.

· Proven experience in strategic planning, team leadership, and client management.

· Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technology environments and client needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

· Serves as the main IT point of contact for all business functions.

· Manages, coordinates, and executes all enterprise application activities, including functional and technical design and analysis, system architecture, security, testing, implementation, and documentation.

· Establishes and maintains a strong partnership with senior business executives to create product roadmaps and offer technology solutions to solve real business problems.

· Be comfortable working within all levels of the organization – adjusting style and approach to match audience.

· Directs and manages internal teams, external technology vendors, or consulting teams effectively to ensure accountability and successful delivery of business objectives.

· Coordinates the implementation of system enhancements, product maintenance and support, upgrades, updates, and patches to assure secure and optimal system performance, data integrity, and reliability.

· Be comfortable working with all infrastructure-related activities.

· Provides input into the overall IT strategy and execution approach.

· Be a change agent for the overall technology strategy.

· Provide input and support the overall BI/Analytics strategy.

· Owns and manages her/his portion of the budget.

· Mentors and leads internal and external IT professionals.

· Manages and utilizes offshore development resources.

Key Responsibilities:

· Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement IT service strategies that align with the company's goals, ensuring high service delivery and client retention.

· Service Delivery: Oversee IT infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity, network management, and helpdesk support to ensure seamless and efficient client operations.

· Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of IT managers, engineers, and support staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

· Client Engagement: Work directly with key clients to understand their needs, ensure service satisfaction, and identify opportunities for expanding services.

· Process Improvement: Drive operational excellence by implementing best practices and innovative technologies to improve service delivery and reduce operational costs.

· Risk Management: Ensure the company’s IT operations are secure, compliant, and aligned with industry standards, managing risks related to data privacy and cybersecurity.

· Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT services budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and the optimal use of resources.

· Partnerships & Vendor Management: Cultivate relationships with technology partners and vendors to ensure access to the latest innovations and support.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $96,000.00 - $108,000.00 per year
