Job Summary:

MOLD PROCESSOR ++ PAY BASED ON EXPERIENCE

2nd and 3rd shift available immediately
We are seeking a skilled Processor to join our team. As a Processor, you will be responsible for handling materials and assisting with various production tasks. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Position Summary

The Injection Mold Setter and Process Technician must be able to set tooling, start-up, shut down, and operate plastic injection mold machines including tool changeovers for horizontal injection molding machines in a safe, effective, compliant, and timely manner. Will be expected to maintain control of validated processes, identify issues, and communicate improvement opportunities. Position will have critical involvement in problem solving and continuous improvement activities including scheduling, scrap reduction efforts, and optimization of mold room management. Will be required to perform tool and machine maintenance, including cleaning and minor repairs.

Duties

· Perform start-up, shut-down, process monitoring and troubleshooting standard work on all plastic injection molded tools and related equipment; this includes cleaning and maintenance. Must verify correct set-up of molds, processes and auxiliary equipment before machine start up.

· Verifies paperwork for jobs and completion of inspections at start-up of job and in-process inspections.

· Adheres to company safety policies as well as OSHA rules and regulations.

· Must operate a forklift and an overhead crane on a regular basis.

· Performs troubleshooting and basic mechanical repairs from process monitoring and part inspections to insure part conformity and quality.

· Helps attain scheduling targets and communicates possible issues and deviations appropriately.

· Monitors and focuses on scrap reduction.

· Integrate mold room system with company’s continuous improvement activities including ideas submissions, safety observations, 5S, adherence to standard work, and date tracking/charting.

· Perform other duties as well as assigned to meet the objective of the facility.

Education Degree

· High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience

· Must have at least three to five years’ experience in injection molding or comparable environment.

· Previous experience with strong mechanical aptitude.

· Communication: Ability to understand oral and written instruction in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as work instructions and safety rules. Effectively share information between all shifts with co-workers, internal customers, and support personnel.

· Reasoning Ability: Ability to deal with problems involving part and equipment variation while maintaining quality expectations.

· Mathematical Skills: Basic counting and arithmetic skills required.

· Mechanical Aptitude: Competencies with hand tools as well as basic understanding of electricity and hydraulics required.

· Working knowledge of electrical troubleshooting as related to mold wiring and hot/insulated runner systems.

· Attendance: Able to maintain good attendance and is available for support on possible weekends and beyond working hours.

· Teamwork: Ability to work well with people and demonstrate good leadership and approachability.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
