Job description
Our client, a leading organization in the public sector, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Database Administrator to join their team. As a Database Administrator, you will be an essential part of the IT department supporting critical data management functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintaining data integrity and security, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Database Administrator
Location: Sacramento, California (Remote with in-office reporting requirements)
Pay Range: starting from $55
What's the Job?
- Design, configure, and manage databases to ensure data security, integrity, and accessibility.
- Implement standards for data storage, maintenance, and security administration.
- Perform backup and recovery procedures using Database Management Systems.
- Configure database parameters and implement data warehousing requirements.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to enhance in-house applications and improve database performance.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems (CIS), or equivalent with an emphasis on database theory.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Data Administration.
- Relevant certifications such as MTA, MCSE, or MCSA with a focus on database administration.
- Strong understanding of database design, security, and performance optimization.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
