About EllieMD

EllieMD is on a mission to revolutionize healthcare by empowering individuals with pharmaceutical-grade products and a network of dedicated brand partners. We believe healthcare should be accessible, transparent, and built on trust. Inspired by the wisdom, strength, and nurturing nature of elephants, our name reflects our commitment to care, integrity, and empowerment—ensuring that our customers, partners, and community feel supported, valued, and protected.

As a member of our team, you’ll help bring this mission to life by upholding our values of accountability, collaboration, and excellence. We’re looking for individuals who take pride in delivering high-quality experiences and who thrive in a fast-moving, innovative environment.

Position Overview

EllieMD is seeking a talented UX/UI Web Designer to lead the redesign and ongoing evolution of our website and digital customer experiences. In this hybrid role, you will take ownership of our core web experience, craft conversion-driven landing pages and flows, create mobile-optimized experiences, and support occasional email design. You will collaborate closely with our Product team, Brand Designer, and Marketing partners to translate strategy, research insights, and brand direction into elegant, intuitive digital interfaces.

This is a contract role with the intention to transition into a full-time position next year.

What You’ll Do

Website & Digital Experience Design (75%)

  • Lead the end-to-end redesign of EllieMD.com, including user flows, wireframes, interaction patterns, and responsive UI design.
  • Create conversion-optimized landing pages, funnels, and customer experiences for growth and retention.
  • Develop mobile-first designs that strengthen accessibility, clarity, and usability.
  • Build polished, high-fidelity prototypes in Figma for review, iteration, and handoff.
  • Produce clear design specifications to support smooth collaboration with engineering.

Email Design (20%)

  • Design email layouts for marketing and lifecycle campaigns.
  • Build or refine templates within Brevo (or similar platforms) to support brand and performance goals.

UX Research & Optimization (5%)

  • Conduct light UX research such as usability tests, customer interviews, and heuristic audits.
  • Create low-fidelity wireframes to explore concepts and validate user flows early.
  • Analyze user behavior via analytics and feedback tools (Hotjar, GA4 — preferred).
  • Partner with Product to A/B test new experiences and iterate based on performance (Optimizely, VWO — preferred).

Who You’ll Work With

  • Product Team — heavy partnership on UX strategy, requirements, and research.
  • Brand Designer — close collaboration to maintain and extend visual identity.
  • Engineering Team — close collaboration for handoff and feasibility alignment. This role does not require front-end development. However, familiarity with HTML/CSS is important to ensure designs are implementation-friendly.
  • Marketing Team — ongoing collaboration on growth funnels, content, and conversion optimization.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience as a UX/UI or Web Designer.
  • Strong experience creating wireframes, user flows, and interaction design artifacts.
  • Expert proficiency in Figma (or similar), with ability to create components, prototypes, and responsive layouts.
  • Strong understanding of HTML/CSS and how design decisions impact build feasibility.
  • Proven experience designing responsive websites, landing pages, and conversion funnels.
  • Ability to design email templates and work within Brevo, Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or similar.
  • Solid grasp of UX fundamentals: information architecture, layout best practices, usability principles, and accessibility.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort working in fast-paced, collaborative environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using UX research or analytics tools (Hotjar, GA4, surveys).
  • Experience with A/B testing tools (Optimizely, VWO).
  • Experience in healthcare, health-tech, or wellness (bonus).
  • Experience with e-commerce or conversion-optimized platforms
  • Experience supporting or executing a brand refresh

Who You Are

  • A systems thinker who enjoys mapping out user journeys before crafting UI details.
  • Highly collaborative but self-directed when needed.
  • Comfortable iterating quickly—from low-fidelity wireframes to high-fidelity UI.
  • User-centered, data-informed, and driven by continuous improvement.
  • Passionate about creating clean, intuitive, accessible, and conversion-friendly digital experiences.

Compensation & Structure

  • Contract Role: Starting as a 1099 contractor.
  • Future Conversion: Planned transition to full-time W2 in 2026.
  • Compensation: $100,000–$120,000 (commensurate with experience).
  • Benefits: Planned upon full-time conversion.
