Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee our Credit Union's IT operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our IT team, ensuring the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure, compliance with regulations, maintaining a secure and efficient banking environment and implementing IT strategies to support business objectives.

Duties

  • Oversee and maintain the financial institution's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, workstations, and cloud-based systems.
  • Ensure reliable operation of the core banking system and integration with third-party financial services providers.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce IT security policies and procedures in compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor and mitigate cybersecurity risks, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Lead and coordinate IT audits, security assessments, and penetration testing.
  • Support the integration of online banking, mobile banking, remote deposit capture, and payment processing solutions.
  • Oversee data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning related to core banking operations.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies, including acceptable use, data retention, and incident response procedures.
  • Maintain and update the IT risk assessment framework, ensuring it aligns with federal and state regulations.
  • Evaluate emerging financial technologies (FinTech) and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and member experience.
  • Manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective technology investments.
  • Lead an IT team, providing mentorship, professional development, and performance management.

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience in a financial institution in IT of related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Coputer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of desktop support, network infrastructure, and network security
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management principles
  • Experience with cloud services such as AWS
  • Proficiency in Active Directory, Linux, and ServiceNow
  • Understanding of information security practices
