Summary
In this role, you are responsible for maintaining and managing Texas Healthcare Solutions information technology systems and networks. Perform a variety of technical and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of IT infrastructure, including installing and configuring software and hardware, providing technical support, and training users. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with vendors and service providers
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of, interprets and ensures compliance with, all local, state, and federal laws relating to the management of confidentiality and the HIPAA Security Rule, in order to develop and implement comprehensive security policies and procedures.
- Develops, implements, and maintains compliance with security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines for the THCS
- Directs and manages the operational and administrative activities associated with information management and security
- Reviews the development, testing, and implementation of security plans, products, and controls.
- Identifies and analyzes IT security risk and exposure incidents on new and existing infrastructures; investigates the escalation of security events, such as viruses and hacker intrusion to discover, develop, and recommend appropriate solutions and corrective actions for IT security incidents.
- Ensures THCS daily operations and actual practices conform to requirements as defined in our policies and procedures.
- Develops and conducts training on security regulations and ensures that all THCS management personnel, employees, and business associates receive adequate and appropriate training.
- Develops systems and processes for monitoring THCS's Business Associate contracts.
- Serves as an internal and external liaison and resource between different departments and liaise with vendors regarding information security incidents as appropriate, to ensure THCS’s security practices are implemented, consistent, and coordinated.
- Cooperates with the Office for Civil Rights or other oversight agencies in any investigations of IT security violations or breaches.
- Other duties as assigned by Administration.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

- IT support: 2 years (Required)
