We are looking for a highly skilled PHP & Laravel Developer with strong JavaScript expertise to join our technology team. This role will involve working on our administrative portal, mapping tools, front-end website, and databases. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. They should be comfortable working independently and collaboratively with different teams, including marketing and operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, enhance, refactor, and extend the functionality of our existing Laravel-based codebase.
- Develop and integrate backend systems with external APIs.
- Work with ESRI/ArcGIS Mapping tools using the ESRI JavaScript API.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Assist with data standardization and cleanup (both manual and automated processes).
- Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance the front-end user experience.
- Manage versioning, deployments, and source code using Git.
- Conduct quality assurance and testing to ensure stable releases.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on Laravel development experience (Required)
- Strong proficiency in PHP and Laravel framework
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks, including React, Alpine.js, and jQuery
- Expertise in HTML, CSS (responsive design), and cross-browser compatibility
- Backend development experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs & third-party integrations
- Proficiency in Git version control (expertise is a plus)
- Familiarity with server environments, hosting, and networking basics
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with non-technical teams
- Self-motivated and able to manage projects independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing ESRI-based mapping applications using the ESRI JavaScript API
- Knowledge of automated data cleaning & parsing techniques
- Background in financial or commission-based applications
