POSITION SUMMARY:

Security Analyst is a key player in protecting our organization's network infrastructure. Each day presents new challenges as you conduct vulnerability analyses, detect threats, and monitor network security. Your role will focus on assessing risks, identifying weaknesses, and delivering actionable insights to uphold a secure environment. We’re looking for an analytical thinker with deep expertise in network security and a drive to stay ahead of emerging threats.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops IT security roadmap that will enforce the firm’s security priorities
  • Provides subject matter expertise in information security as it relates to networks and systems
  • Manages cyber threat analysis activities; creates and presents reports and metrics surrounding threat analysis
  • Conducts security audits and reports results
  • Assess systems and software to identify vulnerabilities, analyzing their potential impact on network security.
  • Perform regular scans of the network infrastructure to detect weaknesses, misconfigurations, or anomalies, and document findings for remediation teams.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of patches and updates, recommending prioritized fixes to ensure secure network operations.
  • Provides tactical security guidance for all IT projects, including the evaluation and recommendation of technical controls
  • Investigates employee concerns regarding security threats
  • Assists in the process for incident management to effectively identify, respond, contain and communicate a suspected or confirmed incident; and keeps the CISO and Director of IT informed.
  • Coordinates and responds to client security-related information requests; escalates concerns or deviations to Chief Information Officer
  • Maintains a current understanding of threat landscape for the industry
  • Is a security champion for the organization

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security/Technology and a minimum of 5 years related experience
  • Information Security Certifications preferred
  • Ability to communicate with a wide range of individuals at various organizational levels
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Forward-looking approach to security and technological threats; a self-starter
  • Familiarity with information security methodologies, tactics, techniques and procedures
  • Familiarity with packet analysis, network forensics, incident handling, and malware analysis
  • Familiarity with a wide variety of systems, OSes, and applications used in the legal industry
  • Technical expertise with intrusion detection and vulnerability analysis systems
  • Ability to travel to branch offices (Appleton, Green Bay, Madison, Waukesha) as needed
  • Ability to be on call
