Managed and directed by some of the most respected and experienced leaders in the industry, ITR America has quickly grown to become the leading “Supplier of Choice” for wholesale dealers and equipment repair facilities in North and South America.
Role Overview
We are seeking a visionary and hands-on IT Manager to lead our technology department. You will be responsible for the strategic planning, security, and operational excellence of our IT infrastructure across 17 locations. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who can manage complex networks, mentor a technical team, and align technology initiatives with our overarching business goals.
We have a new ERP system going in this year and looking for someone who can implement this project.
Key Responsibilities
1*. Infrastructure & Network Management*
- Design & Strategy: Design, implement, and maintain scalable LAN/WAN, VPN, and wireless solutions across all business units, adapting architecture as the business evolves.
- Hybrid Environment: Oversee the seamless integration of on-premise virtualization (Linux QEMU/KVM and Synology VMHosts) with cloud environments (AWS/M365).
- Hardware Lifecycle: Manage the purchase, installation, and maintenance of all physical technology, including Unifi switching, Netgate/Pfsense firewalls, Dell Servers/Workstations, and VOIP systems.
- Modern Management Tools: Implement and maintain RMM (Remote Monitoring & Management) and MDM (Mobile Device Management) solutions to ensure fleet-wide visibility and automated patching.
2*. Cybersecurity & Compliance*
- Security Posture: Manage organizational cybersecurity, including firewall configuration, encryption standards, access controls, and "Acceptable Use" policies.
- Audit & Recovery: Act as the lead for Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity; perform regular system audits and rigorous data backup verification.
- Compliance: Ensure all systems meet regulatory standards and proactively protect against emerging external threats.
3*. Financial & Vendor Management*
- Budget Oversight: Establish and manage the annual departmental budget. Responsible for monitoring monthly costs, coding all IT bills accurately, and approving department purchases.
- Contractor Management: Supervise external contractors and specialized vendors to ensure work is completed to specification and within agreed-upon timelines.
- Vendor Relations: Negotiate and administer contracts with ISPs and third-party consultants to ensure optimal Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and cost-efficiency.
- Asset Management: Maintain a centralized IT asset management system for all hardware and software licenses to ensure compliance and audit readiness.
4. Help Desk & IT Support Systems
- Service Desk Leadership: Own the overall health of the IT Help Desk, ensuring SLAs are met for all 17 locations.
- Tier 3 Escalation: Serve as the final technical escalation point for complex issues regarding Linux Servers, Microsoft Server products, SQL, Netgate, Unifi, Synology, and Apple/iOS devices.
- Ticket Governance: Monitor ticket volume and resolution trends to identify systemic issues and implement long-term structural fixes.
- Standardization: Develop a comprehensive Knowledge Base and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to empower Tier 1 and Tier 2 staff.
5. Strategic Leadership & Project Management
- Team Development: Lead, mentor, and schedule the IT team, fostering professional growth and high performance.
- Project Lifecycle: Lead software and hardware rollouts from conception to completion—ensuring they are documented, on time, and within budget.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Partner with department leaders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: * 8+ years of relevant IT experience
- 3+ years in a leadership or management role.
- Technical Expertise:
- Networking: Extensive experience with Unifi ecosystem and Netgate/Pfsense security protocols.
- Systems: Deep knowledge of Microsoft Server (Active Directory, SQL) and Windows 10/11.
- Virtualization: Proficiency with Linux QEMU/KVM and Synology.
- Cloud/SaaS: Experience managing M365, AWS, and modern RMM/MDM platforms.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+/Security+, CCNA, or Linux certifications).
- Experience managing IT across multiple physical locations (Retail, Medical, or Multi-site Office).
- Familiarity with ITIL (IT Service Management) processes.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $105,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
