ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Junior Data Scientist to support analytics and reporting across a growing real estate and property management platform. This role is ideal for a data professional early in their career who wants hands-on exposure to real estate operations, financial performance, and business decision-making.

You will work closely with finance, property management, and leadership teams to help turn data into actionable insights.

RESPONSIBILITIES

▪ Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports
▪ Clean, validate, and organize data from property management and accounting systems
▪ Support analysis of rents, occupancy, concessions, expenses, and NOI
▪ Assist with forecasting, variance analysis, and performance tracking
▪ Automate manual reports and improve data workflows
▪ Document metrics, assumptions, and data definitions

QUALIFICATIONS

▪ Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or related field
▪ 1–3 years of experience in data analysis or analytics roles
▪ Working knowledge of Python or R and SQL
▪ Experience with Excel and at least one BI tool (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.)
▪ Strong attention to detail and ability to learn quickly

PREFERRED

▪ Exposure to real estate, finance, accounting, or operational data
▪ Familiarity with property management systems such as AppFolio, Yardi, or MRI
▪ Experience working with financial or time-series data
