Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a positive dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for guest services in a fast-paced environment. As a Host/Host, you will manage reservations, greet guests, and maintain an organized seating chart while providing exceptional hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated.
• Manage the seating chart to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest comfort.
• Take reservations and handle phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
• Assist in coordinating the flow of guests to ensure timely service.
• Provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to guests.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
• Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly and effectively to enhance their dining experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting area.

Skills

• Strong guest services skills with a focus on hospitality and customer satisfaction.
• Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar food service systems is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with effective phone etiquette.
• Ability to build rapport with guests and create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Experience in food service or hotel environments is beneficial but not required.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy setting.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and helping guests as needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.88 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 32 per week
