IT Analyst Principal (Data Center and Cloud Architect)
Salary: $128,534.04 – $156,233.93 annually DOQ

Solano County’s Department of Information Technology is seeking a Data Center & Cloud Architect to join its Engineering Team!
The Data Center and Cloud Architect is a critical leadership position that blends deep expertise in traditional data center operations with modern cloud technologies to drive performance, scalability, and innovation across the County’s IT ecosystem. This position will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Solano County’s hybrid infrastructure with a strong emphasis on Azure cloud solutions. The Architect works collaboratively with operations, security, and network teams, taking ownership of critical challenges while guiding scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure solutions.
The ideal candidates bring 10+ years of experience in leading cross-functional infrastructure teams and hands-on work with Cisco UCS-X, VMware, enterprise storage, and cloud-native technologies, and at least five years of Microsoft Azure ecosystem and Cisco UCS-X experience. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for a technical leader who values teamwork, transparency, and delivering real-world results across a dynamic public agency.
