Continental Utility Solutions, Inc. (CUSI), a national leader in utility management software and technology services, is currently seeking a Cloud Engineer in Jonesboro, Arkansas. The ideal candidate has deep, hands-on experience managing Azure resources. A Windows administration background is a plus.

Your day-to-day:

• Manage and scale Azure Container Apps across multiple regions (revisions, replica autoscaling, networking integration, container secrets, ingress).

• Administer Azure SQL (Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance): monitor, tune, and scale for performance/cost.

• Build and maintain infrastructure as code (Bicep/ARM); deploy resources and configuration changes via CI/CD (Azure DevOps).

• Manage core Azure services: virtual networks (peering/Private Link), storage accounts, and regional load balancing (Front Door/App Gateway).

• Implement end-to-end monitoring and alerting for all services (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights); author simple KQL queries and dashboards.

• Operate in compliance with SOC 2 and PCI-DSS controls (least privilege, logging, change control, encryption, segmentation); support audit evidence collection.

• Work with Development and Technical Support to troubleshoot cloud services.

• Collaborate with Accounting on tagging, budgeting, and cost reporting.

Minimum must-haves:

• Security-minded approach to managing resources within Azure.

• Hands-on experience running containerized applications in Azure (Azure Container Apps and App Services; Docker fundamentals).

• Experience building CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and app deployments at scale.

• Experience with complex, multi-region Azure networking (Managing virtual networks and subnetting, peering, Private Link/Endpoints, Private DNS).

• Familiarity with Azure SQL administration and performance basics (SQL Database and/or SQL Managed Instance).

• Experience supporting SOC 2 and PCI-DSS audit processes and maintaining environments under these controls.

• Fluent in PowerShell and/or Azure CLI.

• Ability to create and interpret technical documentation and architecture diagrams.

• Effective both independently and as a team contributor.

What will set you apart:

• Knowledge of the utility billing industry and/or customer-facing SaaS operations.

• Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400, AZ-500).

• Experience with SQL failover groups; administration and troubleshooting.

• Experience with Azure/Entra ID identity (SSO, MFA, SAML/OAuth).

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
