We are currently looking for a motivated IT Systems Administrator to join our Technical Services Team. An IT Systems Administrator at Roeing helps plan, implement, manage, and uplift our client’s environments. They also work closely with the Technical Services Team to both provide and receive support from Systems Engineers, maintain documentation and develop and implement custom client solutions to provide top-level customer service.

Primary Technical Responsibilities

  • Architect, implement, and manage virtualized environments in single/multiple host cluster hypervisors
  • Work to implement new server setups, existing server migrations, SAN configuration and deployment, and standup/configuration of Windows server, domain services, GPOs, and other major server functions
  • Design and deploy networking solutions, including configuration and optimization of firewalls, switches, APs, and other networking components
  • Configure, deploy, and manage Microsoft 365 environments work to migrate customer data into Microsoft 365 environments from other services or from on-premises environments
  • Architect, deploy, and manage cloud solutions in Microsoft Azure, including infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and software as a service (SaaS) offerings
  • Respond to client security incidents, conduct investigation, and remediate all impacted systems
  • Implement and manage backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies for both on-premises and cloud environments
  • Lead technical services team in migration, acquisition, and other large-scale projects
  • Patching, monitoring, and general maintenance of client network, server, and desktop environments
  • Participation in On-call rotation for emergency client outages
  • Intensive, detailed, and accurate documentation and timekeeping

Expected Technical Specialization

  • Expert level knowledge troubleshooting, managing, and architecting Microsoft server platforms (2012 through 2022), desktop platforms (Windows 10/11, some Mac), Active Directory, DNS, Azure and Microsoft 365
  • Expert level of proficiency with VMWare, Scale, Hyper-V Server Platforms; possess ability to architect, implement, migrate, and manage hosts across these platforms and from on premises into the cloud
  • High level of experience architecting, implementing, and managing environments in Azure; be able to deploy and migrate hosts as well as entirety of virtual networking, storage, and security stack
  • High level of expertise in responding to and remediating from security incidents. Possess great knowledge of security best practices, incident investigation and response, log analysis, and compliance regulations
  • Expert in deploying firewalls in small to large organizations in various standalone, redundant, and high-availability configurations for Sophos, Fortinet, Meraki, and other platforms
  • High level of expertise implementing and managing backup solutions for Veeam and/or Datto Platforms

Consulting Assistance Responsibilities

  • Management and support of customer technology platforms
  • Assist in evaluating client needs and determining the appropriate technology solution
  • Assist with preparing customer Engagement Proposals when required
  • Assist in presenting solutions to prospective customers
  • Assist in each stage of the sales process with the sales team
  • Training both technical and non-technical users on how to apply best practices

Education

  • Bachelor’s/Associate’s degree in a related field and a minimum of five years relevant experience in the Information Technology field.

Additional Duties

  • limited, rotational evening and weekend work based on client activities.
  • Occasional onsite travel to client’s locations within a 75-mile radius
  • Maintain normal working office hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
