Job Title: Systems Administrator (Onsite)
Location: Atlanta, GA
Duration: 6 Months
Pay Rate: $40/hr on C2C / 1099 / W2 (all-inclusive)
Interview Process: Webcam or In-Person
Position Overview:
The Systems Administrator will serve as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues and provide hands-on support for core Microsoft enterprise technologies. This role requires strong troubleshooting expertise, vendor coordination experience, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced onsite environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the escalation point for complex hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors to coordinate and resolve advanced technical problems.
- Manage and support core IT systems including Office 365, Active Directory, Exchange Server, Microsoft Teams (softphones), VPN, RDP, and Windows operating systems.
- Research, recommend, and implement technical solutions to improve system reliability and operational efficiency.
- Develop, maintain, and update technical documentation, system configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 10+ years of overall IT experience.
- Proven expertise with Office 365, Active Directory, Exchange Server, Windows OS, desktop deployments, VPN, RDP, and Microsoft Teams.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in a Microsoft enterprise environment.
- Strong understanding of Windows Client and Windows Server in production environments.
- Hands-on experience configuring Windows infrastructure using Group Policy and scripts.
- Proficiency with PowerShell for automation and task execution.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals, including DNS and DHCP.
- 3+ years of experience with Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) upgrades, consolidations, and migrations.
- 2+ years of experience with Office/Microsoft 365, including at least one year of mailbox migration experience.
- 1+ year of experience with ADFS or Azure Active Directory, including understanding of SAML 2.0 and cloud-based SSO providers.
- Experience coordinating with third-party technical support vendors.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to create and maintain clear, comprehensive technical documentation.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Suite / Enterprise Mobility + Security (EM+S).
- Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure management.
- Experience supporting SharePoint environments.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (Windows Server, Office 365, Azure).
- Knowledge of ITIL and IT service management best practices.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and adapting to new technologies.
