We are looking for a skilled and experienced freelance web developer and designer to collaborate with us on a project-by-project basis.

The Role:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented freelance web developer with a strong focus on Elementor. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining responsive, user-friendly websites using the Elementor Pro page builder. This role requires a self-starter who can work independently and deliver high-quality work on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build custom, responsive websites from provided wireframes and mockups using Elementor and Elementor Pro.
• Work closely with the Merit Media team to understand project requirements and client goals.
• Assist the team with copywriting, SEO, and design as needed regarding website development.
• Ensure all websites are optimized for speed, performance, and SEO best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, bugs, and errors in a timely manner.
• Integrate third-party tools, plugins, and APIs as needed (e.g., CRMs, email marketing platforms, e-commerce solutions).
• Perform website maintenance, updates, and security checks for existing client sites.
• Provide a professional and collaborative experience for both the Merit Media team and our clients.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience building websites with Elementor and Elementor Pro.
• Proficiency in WordPress and its ecosystem (themes, plugins, etc.).
• Strong understanding of web design principles, including UI/UX, typography, and color theory.
• Experience with responsive design and mobile optimization.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
• Familiarity with various hosting environments (WPEngine, etc.).
• A portfolio showcasing a diverse range of Elementor-built websites.
• Ability to assist in design, copywriting, and SEO.
