Job Title: Systems Administrator (ESS/EKC Systems – Lenel & Milestone)

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support the daily operations, maintenance, and optimization of Electronic Security Systems (ESS) and Entry/Exit Control (EKC) systems. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the availability, performance, and security of IT infrastructure supporting physical security platforms, including Lenel and Milestone technologies.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in Microsoft server environments, hands-on experience with ESS/EKC systems, and relevant manufacturer certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, manage, and maintain the health and performance of ESS and EKC systems and infrastructure.
- Install, configure, and support applications, operating systems, utility software, and hardware for ESS/EKC environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with system components, databases, network connectivity, and software.
- Plan, implement, and support system enhancements, upgrades, and patches.
- Maintain user accounts, access controls, and system security in accordance with DoD cybersecurity standards.
- Maintain inventory and logs of system downtime, configurations, and changes.
- Provide training and technical guidance to DLA staff on system usage and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with DoDD 8140.03.01 and DoDM 8140.03.03 for privileged system access.
- Assist with system design, development, integration, and implementation.
- Support cybersecurity assessments and continuous monitoring efforts; mitigate system vulnerabilities.
- Coordinate with DLA J6 and other stakeholders to support mission-critical system uptime and performance.
Required Qualifications:
- Education/Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in systems administration.
- At least 5 years of experience with Microsoft Windows server/client OS.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with ESS and EKC systems.
Certifications (Required):
- Lenel Certified Professional (LCP)
- Milestone Certified Design Engineer (MCDE)
- Milestone Certified Integration Engineer (MCIE)
- Any additional certifications as outlined in the TO PWS and DoD 8140 guidelines.
Technical Expertise:
- Proven experience with installation, configuration, maintenance, and issue resolution of Lenel and/or Milestone systems.
- Familiarity with database and network connectivity support.
- Ability to manage and secure user accounts and access privileges.
Security/Clearance Requirements:
- Must meet all clearance and certification requirements outlined in PWS 7.2.
- Compliance with DoD Cyberspace Workforce Management policies is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with DLA or other federal entities.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and vulnerability management platforms.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $116,000.00 per year
