Pay Range: $ 89,934.27 /yr - $ 113,926.04 /yr
Starting Pay: Although our full pay range is included above, the budgeted hiring range for this position is $ 89,934.27 /yr - $101,930.15 /yr

The Objective: You will conduct data analyses and lead data architecture, strategy, and governance practices to support the provision of high-quality, patient-centered sexual and reproductive health services at PPRM (Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains).

Success: You will know you are successful when PPRM’s stakeholders have insightful, timely, and accurate data on our healthcare services to support day-to-day and strategic decision-making.

Snapshot:
You may work from home or office and will spend most of your time on the computer. You will spend a lot of time in detailed analysis and research as well as preparing data for presentation and communication with health care teams.

Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. Or a Bachelor’s with equivalent skills or experience
  • Ample experience in healthcare analytics, including working with CPT and diagnosis codes.
  • Proficiency in working with Relative Value Units to assess provider productivity, optimize resource allocation, and evaluate financial performance.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and relational databases.
  • Strong knowledge of machine learning frameworks and programming languages.
  • Experience with statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and financial forecasting.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes, data warehouses, and data cleaning techniques.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulation, including HIPAA and PHI management.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills with data visualization tools.
  • Experience writing and maintaining clear, structured documentation for data processes, models and workflows
  • Ability to develop financial models that incorporate historical visit trends, payer mix, reimbursement rates, and operational costs to produce accurate revenue forecasts.
  • Bonus: GIS expertise and experience with HL7/FHIR standards.

Primary Areas of Responsibility/Essential Functions:
You will conduct analysis of PPRM business trends and lead the development of the organization’s architecture, strategy, and governance practices. You will design the tools, methods, and processes to guide health centers in annual budget processes and support the implementation of departmental and agency visions. You will create, execute, and monitor data audits to maintain integrity of data critical to health center operation, and you will provide expertise and technical guidance.
Analysis & Reporting
  • Design analytical tools and frameworks to monitor business trends, financial, quality, and other performance indicators
  • Identify methods to improve data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Write SQL code to support dynamic reporting and visualization efforts, including joining data tables and cleaning/harmonizing data fields
  • Execute ad-hoc analysis to address specific business questions from internal and external stakeholder groups
  • Build and maintain VP-, C-Suite-, and Board-level reports and KPIs
  • Ensure data collection and reporting processes are in compliance with various local, federal, and private funding requirements, both legal and medical
Systems & Processes
  • Lead the adoption of information architecture that meets and evolves with the organization’s needs
  • Implement data strategy, build data capacity, and optimize systems to improve patient health outcomes
  • Acquire and standardize data from primary and secondary sources and maintain data systems
  • Initiate data fixes, process improvements, and perform testing/validation activities
  • Manage systems for efficiently collecting, analyzing, and reporting on key data
Strategic Operations
  • Analyze financial, quality, performance, and other data to assure quality of care, sound business practices, and excellent patient and staff experience
  • Conduct analysis of PPRM business trends in timely way to forecast accurately and/or identify opportunities for improvement
  • Utilize scientific method to set hypothesis and test results, find meaning in data, and apply to specific business context
  • Manage systems for efficiently collecting, analyzing, and reporting on key data points impacting the organization’s business
  • Assess and diagnose trends in internal and external environments that impact business operations
  • Provide leadership in the development, implementation, maintenance, optimization, and utilization of dashboards and key indicators
Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Construct effective and efficient systems for analyzing revenue and expenses
  • Conduct financial modeling and forecasting
