Job Overview
We are a single-site manufacturing company seeking an experienced IT Director to take ownership of our technology operations. This role goes beyond day-to-day system support—it’s about building strategy, strengthening infrastructure, and ensuring our technology supports long-term growth.
The IT Director will work closely with the CFO and partner with external consultants, overseeing network security, cloud platforms, disaster recovery, and compliance. This is a key leadership position for someone who can solve complex challenges, drive improvements, and align IT with business needs.
Responsibilities
- Infrastructure & Systems: Design, deploy, and maintain secure, reliable networks, servers, storage systems, and cloud platforms.
- Operations & Performance: Standardize processes, monitor systems, resolve issues quickly, and ensure up time.
- Disaster Recovery & Security: Implement and manage safeguards to protect critical systems and sensitive data.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Coordinate with consultants, foster collaboration across departments, and make IT accessible to all users.
- Vendor & Budget Management: Manage vendor relationships and oversee the IT budget, balancing innovation with cost-effectiveness.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master’s preferred) OR equivalent experience (8+ years).
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems.
- Experience communicating with executives and translating technical concepts for non-technical users.
- Proven leadership skills and experience in vendor management.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CCNA, CISSP) a plus.
- Consulting, MSP, or solutions provider background highly preferred.
Working Environment
- Office Setting: Temperature-controlled environment with low to moderate noise levels.
- Physical Demands:
- Constant: talking, sitting, keyboard/ten-key use, fine hand dexterity.
- Frequent: lifting/carrying up to 20 lbs., walking, reaching outward.
- Occasional: lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs., standing, kneeling, reaching overhead.
- Rare: lifting 51+ lbs., crawling, squatting, walking on uneven/slippery surfaces.
Schedule & Compensation
- Hours: Full-time, on-site, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm (occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed).
- Pay Range: $90,000 – $130,000 per year
- Compensation Package: Base salary + performance bonus
