Position: AS400 Database Administrator
Work Location: Morton Grove, IL (Hybrid)
Duration: Long Term Contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications on the IBM i (AS/400) platform.
- Write and modify programs using RPG IV/ILE, CL, and DDS.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Support existing applications and troubleshoot production issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, and infrastructure.
- Document technical specifications and maintain code repositories.
- Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with JD Edwards World strongly preferred or other ERP systems on IBM i.
- Knowledge of modernization tools or integration with web services.
- Exposure to change management tools like TurnOver or Aldon.
- Understanding of IBM i security and system administration.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: Up to $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
