JOB SUMMARY
The Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and administering cloud infrastructure on the Microsoft Azure platform, including virtual machines, storage, networking and security configurations. They will migrate on-premises workloads to the cloud ensuring optimal performance, scalability and security for applications within our client’s environment. This position will rely on secondary skills in VMware systems administration to maintain stability in virtual environments. This role will also play an essential part in pre-sales and architectural discussions with our clients.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable Azure cloud environments.
- Perform migrations of on-premises workloads to Azure, including planning, execution, and post-migration support.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define cloud strategies and provide technical guidance.
- Participate in pre-sales engagements, conducting client consultations to understand technical requirements and propose effective solutions.
- Design and present architectural solutions for Azure cloud implementations, tailored to client needs and industry standards.
- Automate routine tasks using Azure automation tools and scripts.
- Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance, ensuring cost efficiency and high availability.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB
- Manage and maintain VMware virtual environments, ensuring stable and reliable operations.
- Perform upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting within VMware infrastructure.
- Implement disaster recovery and backup solutions for virtualized workloads.
- Support project-based work involving VMware systems as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in Azure cloud administration and architecture.
- Demonstrated success in on-premises to Azure workload migrations.
- Strong understanding of Azure services, including Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory, and Resource Manager.
- Experience with VMware administration and troubleshooting (vSphere, ESXi, etc.).
- Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and implementation.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Possesses valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Associates Degree
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working in Azure Cloud.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS
- Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or Architect (AZ-305).
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP).

- Prolong periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift or carry objects up to fifteen (15) pounds.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
