Now Hiring: Quality Control Inspector – Flexible Floater (All Shifts)
Location: Bradenton, FL | Department: Quality Assurance (QA)

Are you detail-oriented, safety-focused, and adaptable? Join Global Products Group (GPG) as a Quality Control Inspector – Floater, a critical role that supports production across all shifts. This position is ideal for someone who values flexibility, variety in their schedule, and being a go-to team member when coverage is needed.

As a floater, you’ll be on-call and scheduled as needed to support 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, helping ensure the safety, consistency, and quality of products people rely on every day.

Shift Coverage & Schedule

This is a flexible floater/on-call position supporting the following shifts as needed:

  • 1st Shift: 6:00am – 2:30pm
  • 2nd Shift: 2:00pm – 10:30pm
  • 3rd Shift: 10:00pm – 6:30am

Candidates must be willing and able to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and short-notice coverage.

What You’ll Do

As a Quality Control Inspector, you will play a vital role in keeping our production environment safe, compliant, and operating smoothly. Responsibilities include:

  • Inspecting processing areas for sanitation, safety, and quality standards
  • Documenting and verifying equipment cleaning
  • Opening and closing processing and packaging lines with accurate documentation
  • Checking raw materials and components for proper compliance
  • Issuing packaging components to production lines
  • Running in-process quality tests (organoleptic checks, weight variation, moisture testing, water activity, etc.)
  • Preparing samples for lab analysis
  • Reviewing material usage and documenting deviations
  • Ensuring corrective actions are completed and documented
  • Maintaining clean, safe, and inspection-ready work areas
  • Communicating findings with supervisors and production teams
  • Following SOPs, company policies, and safety procedures
  • Providing QA support across shifts as needed

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1–3 years of QA, QC, food manufacturing, or related experience preferred (training available for the right candidate)
  • Strong attention to detail with accurate documentation skills
  • Basic math and reading proficiency
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working independently across different shifts
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365
  • Understanding of food production or quality control is a plus
  • Flexibility and reliability to work varying shifts on an on-call basis

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting (25–50 lbs)
  • Working around machinery, airborne particles, and occasional electrical components
  • Moderate noise levels
  • Requires color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
