Machine Learning Specialist / Engineer (Contract – Phase 1)

Overview
PourSight AI is seeking a Machine Learning Specialist/Engineer for a 2–3 month Phase 1 contract focused on building the foundation of an applied machine learning system. This phase is a proof-of-concept and learning period, with the potential to extend into Phase 2 based on results and fit.
Responsibilities
- Build and optimize machine learning models using modern frameworks
- Apply unsupervised learning techniques to identify patterns and anomalies
- Develop data ingestion, preprocessing, and training pipelines
- Deploy and test models in cloud environments (AWS or similar)
- Collaborate closely with the founder to iterate quickly and efficiently
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, Spark MLlib, or similar)
- Strong Python skills; additional languages a plus
- Experience with AWS or cloud-based deployments
- Familiarity with data pipelines, ETL workflows, and SQL
- Comfortable working in early-stage, evolving environments
Compensation
- $2,000–$3,000 per month
- 2–3 month contract
- Potential Phase 2 extension or expanded role based on performance
