Job Description
Gray Link Technologies (https://glt.us) is seeking a Network Administrator III (WAN) to support the United States Air Force AFINC III program under the 26th Network Operations Squadron (26 NOS). The Network Administrator III will be responsible for advanced enterprise WAN design, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting to ensure network availability, security, and performance for Air Force global operations.
In this role, you will:
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, upgrade, patch, and harden routers, serial consoles, load balancers, and switches.
- Analyze and simulate network traffic in both virtual and physical lab environments to assist with problem resolution and configuration validation.
- Monitor system utilization and circuit bandwidth, report anomalies to Government engineering teams.
- Escalate highly complex network issues to engineering staff for advanced troubleshooting.
- Develop, execute, modify, or remove automation scripts to optimize network operations.
- Document all workload activity per incident or change request to support auditing and investigations.
- Apply deep knowledge of enterprise WAN architectures, network segmentation, and SDN technologies.
- Notify Information Technical Equipment Custodian (ITEC) or Property Custodian (PC) within 4 hours for all accountable item moves.
- Ensure cabling standards are met with neat bundling of system and peripheral wiring after installations or repairs.
What You’ll Need
- High School diploma or GED.
- 7+ years of experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex WAN and enterprise network infrastructure.
- Proficiency supporting routers, switches, load balancers, serial consoles, and network systems across global DoD WAN environments.
- Expertise in network utilization monitoring, traffic simulation, fault isolation, and reporting.
- Scripting knowledge to automate repetitive network management tasks.
- DoD 8140 IAT Level II compliance (Security+ certification required).
- Active TS/SCI eligibility.
- Required certifications:
- Must have at least one of the following: CCNP Collaboration, CCNP Data Center, CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Service Provider.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting USAF AFINC III and 26 NOS enterprise network environments.
- Familiarity with SDN implementation within DoD enterprise WAN environments.
- Experience leading junior network administration staff.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $92,000.00 per year
