Position Overview: As a Back-End Developer is responsible for building and maintaining the server-side logic, databases, and core functionalities that power web and mobile applications. This role plays a critical part in ensuring application performance, scalability, and security by developing APIs, managing data flow, and collaborating closely with front-end developers and product teams.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure server-side applications and APIs.
- Collaborate with front-end developers and product teams to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Implement data storage solutions, including relational and NoSQL databases.
- Ensure code quality, reliability, and performance through unit testing and code reviews.
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues as needed.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and back-end best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Back-End Developer or similar role.
- Proficiency in one or more server-side languages (Python, Java)
- Experience with database management and design (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, authentication, and security best practices.
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git preferred).
- Understanding of containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
