Job description
We are seeking an experienced Network Administrator to support and maintain our network infrastructure across multiple Southern California locations. This is a primarily remote role, however candidates must reside within two (2) hours of both Anaheim and San Diego to provide timely onsite support when needed.
The Network Administrator is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of the organization’s network and related infrastructure. This role partners closely with internal IT teams, leadership, and vendors to support day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, security initiatives, and network improvements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and support LAN/WAN connectivity, Wi-Fi, VPNs, and internet services across multiple sites
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network hardware including switches, routers, firewalls, access points, and controllers
- Perform routine maintenance including patching, firmware updates, and equipment lifecycle planning
- Troubleshoot network issues related to performance, outages, routing, DNS/DHCP, wireless coverage, VPN access, and VoIP quality
- Manage VLANs, network segmentation, QoS, and secure remote access
- Implement network security best practices including firewall rules, access controls, logging, and monitoring
- Participate in vulnerability remediation, incident response, and audit readiness
- Maintain accurate documentation including network diagrams, configurations, and change records
- Coordinate with ISPs and vendors for circuit installation, escalations, and performance issues
- Support network refreshes, expansions, and new site deployments
- Provide Tier 2/3 escalation support for network-related user issues
- Provide onsite support in Anaheim and San Diego as needed for outages, equipment replacement, MDF/IDF work, and hands-on troubleshooting
- Participate in after-hours or weekend maintenance windows as required
Qualifications
Required:
- Must reside in Southern California and live within 2 hours of Anaheim and San Diego
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience in a multi-site environment
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and wireless networking
- Experience administering firewalls and implementing practical network security controls
- Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred:
- Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or other regulated environments (HIPAA)
- Experience with Fortinet/FortiGate environments
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 networking dependencies and identity services
- VoIP or unified communications experience
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, logging, or SIEM tools
- Relevant certifications (Network+, CCNA, Fortinet NSE, Microsoft, etc.)

- Customer-service mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach
- Willingness to respond to urgent issues and participate in after-hours support when required
Working Conditions
- Primarily remote with periodic onsite work in Anaheim and San Diego
- Ability to work in MDF/IDF closets and confined IT spaces
- Ability to lift and carry IT equipment such as switches, routers, and UPS units
- Evening or weekend work may be required for maintenance or emergencies

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
