Job description

Microassist is seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer to help secure, automate, and scale mission-critical systems that serve the public sector. In this role, you’ll ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of applications hosted in Microsoft Azure Government and Public Cloud, supporting essential operations.

You’ll collaborate closely with developers, system administrators, and security teams to automate deployments, optimize infrastructure, and continuously improve performance. This position will be a full-time position within Microassist. In addition, this position is fully remote within the United States.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, build, maintain, and enhance Azure Cloud environments supporting productive workloads.
  • Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) for efficient and secure deployments.
  • Containerize and orchestrate applications using Docker and Kubernetes/AKS
  • Ensure continuous compliance with security standards, access control, encryption, and audit policies.
  • Monitor performance and cost metrics using various tools to ensure uptime and efficiency.
  • Collaborate across teams to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues.
  • Ability to respond to occasional off-hour emergencies, upgrades or maintenance.

· Improving cost efficiencies for hosting and servicing.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience managing Azure cloud infrastructure and DevOps workflows.
  • Deep understanding of IaC, CI/CD, and container orchestration.
  • Experience with Azure security and governance best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, related discipline or equivalent practical experience.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications (DevOps Engineer Expert or Solutions Architect) preferred.
