Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator to support enterprise-level geospatial intelligence operations. This role involves advanced planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of GIS databases, server infrastructure, and software tools. Prior geospatial experience is not required, but strong technical and analytical capabilities are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and deploy open-source and COTS GIS server equipment in support of intelligence operations
• Design and evaluate high-level intelligence systems architecture
• Manage and exploit geospatially oriented data using Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC)-compliant applications and databases
• Automate and analyze geospatial workflows using Python; familiarity with C# and Java is a plus
• Handle static and dynamic streaming geospatial data with expert-level proficiency
• Maintain compliance with DODD 8570.01 certification requirements
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Required Experience:

• 8–10 years of progressive experience in a database administration or related role including installation, configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
• Experience with cloud-based database solutions and managed services
• Proven ability to manage incidents, backups, disaster recovery, and database maintenance
• Proficiency in writing and editing SQL scripts for custom queries and automation
• Security+ certification required

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
