Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient handling of materials within our facility, ensuring that products are received, stored, and shipped accurately. The ideal candidate will have experience in a distribution center environment and possess the necessary skills to operate various types of equipment safely and effectively.
Duties
- Operate material handling equipment such as cherry pickers, forklifts, and cranes to load and unload products.
- Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using RF scanners and other tracking systems.
- Ensure materials are stored properly in designated areas to maximize space and accessibility.
- Assist in the organization of the distribution center to facilitate efficient workflow.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating cherry pickers, forklifts, and other heavy equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to material handling processes.
- Experience with shipping and receiving protocols in a distribution center setting.
- Ability to load and unload materials safely while adhering to safety regulations.
- Familiarity with RF scanners for inventory management.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Pay: $23.83 - $27.29 per hour
