Job description
Dental Receptionist
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the dental office
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using the dental office's phone system
- Assist patients with filling out necessary forms and paperwork
- Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims
- Maintain patient records and update information as needed
- Handle patient inquiries and provide accurate information about dental procedures, services, and fees
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient office operations
- Follow up with patients regarding appointment reminders and rescheduling
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using phone systems and basic computer software
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is a plus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
