We're looking for a Cybersecurity Analyst who’s eager to dive into hands-on work, help strengthen our defenses and make a real impact.In this role, you'll be part of the team that keeps the City's digital infrastructure safe. Your day-to-day will include assessing system vulnerabilities, monitoring security tools, and responding to potential threats and incidents. You’ll also play a role in shaping our long-term security strategy—helping to improve our architecture and collaborating with teams across the organization to make sure we're protected from all angles.You’ll work under the guidance of our IT Network & Security Manager, but you’ll have plenty of room to grow, contribute ideas, and take ownership of key initiatives. Whether you're tracking down suspicious activity or helping to write new security policies, your work will help safeguard important services that our residents and employees rely on every day.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
WHAT YOU’LL DO Monitor and analyze network traffic to detect cybersecurity threats.Identify security anomalies and assess controls for weaknesses.Mitigate and contain malicious activities to minimize impact.Investigate cybersecurity incidents or escalate when necessary.Stay current on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends.Conduct vulnerability assessments and lead remediation efforts.Address compliance issues and remediate non-compliant devices.Maintain and update incident response playbooks with lessons learned.Continuously improve detection, investigation, and response capabilities.Support City departments with regulatory and compliance needs.Communicate effectively with City departments, IT staff, and vendors.Assist in creating cybersecurity awareness programs.Evaluate changes to the City's network security architecture.Develop and maintain information security policies and procedures.
