WHAT YOU'LL DO as an IT Oracle EBS Solutions Manager

The IT Oracle EBS Solutions Manageris responsible for leading the digitization and automation of business functions and processes through the most effective use of TAA’s Oracle ERP E-Business Suite application systems solutions and best practices. This includes but is not limited to project management, system applications analysis, development, and implementation activities. Provide strategic level technical leadership and expertise supporting proper software development life cycles within the Oracle EBS environment. Understand and articulate the big picture and provide technical solutions to complex business problems. It also requires the ability to apply creative thinking, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of our Oracle EBS system investments. Work closely with cross-functional teams from various Business Departments and other IT personnel providing technical expertise and guidance to ensure quality and on-time delivery of business/technical solutions as well as drive the continuous innovation and improvement of TAA’s Oracle EBS environment. Confer with and advise peers, TAA staff on administrative policies, procedures, technical problems, priorities and methods when needed. Perform as a subject matter expert and a key point of contact for Oracle EBS Applications.

  • Lead the development and implementation of Oracle EBS new functionality, including system configurations, workflows, interfaces and data integrity. Gather and analyze business requirements to plan projects or enhancements, which are designed to improve efficiency and enhance productivity of TAA’s Business Processes and provide Business Information in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Partner with Business Areas to align Oracle EBS Applications and Business directions both strategically and tactically. Provide IT leadership to identify opportunities and to direct TAA staff in the realization of these opportunities. Collaborate with business areas management to deliver technology-based business solutions.
  • Establish project goals and objectives, measure and track overall progress of projects. Ensure the delivery of projects meet or exceed the business requirements, maintain budgetary control, ensure quality content and are delivered on time. Independently complete feasibility study, cost-benefit analysis and verifying change results.
  • Develop, maintain relationships with business users. Assure procedures and standards to support the quality of service as required by the users. Provide user training and SOP (standard operation procedures). Develop/communicate status of projects in his area to appropriate levels of TAA management.
  • Support daily operations in the current TAA Oracle EBS Applications implemented modules. Determine gaps in both day-to-day support of Applications as well as Project Areas.
  • Cooperate with TAA’s Oracle EBS support partner/vendor teams on technology decisions. Create and follow up Service Requests with them and coordinate actions with Oracle Corp Support Service Requests inside My Oracle support. Manage licensing and compliance requirements.
  • Support Reporting within TAA’s Oracle EBS and other data management tools such import and extraction of data for reporting and analyst purposes. Support all its Integrations with TAA’s other applications including the Enterprise Data Warehouse as well as other manufacturing providers System Applications. Ensure data quality and consistence across all TAA System Applications.
  • Assumes ownership of Oracle EBS System Applications problems, performs root cause analysis and pursues problem resolution, while providing subject matter expertise.
  • Formulate policies, procedures, and standards relating to application management, transaction monitoring activity and capacity utilization.
  • Ensure proper training is provided to business users in all aspects of TAA’s Oracle EBS applications to maintain the most efficient use of the TAA’s Oracle EBS IT business tools and utilization of best practices to continuously optimize TAA business processes.
  • Prepare, manage and report financial information required to meet department and/or project goals.
  • Participate with vendors and technical staff in the assessment of advanced application systems, development tools and other products directly associated with TAA System Applications.
  • Assist in all other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer or Information Science Required. Master's Degree preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience implementing Oracle EBS ERP applications solutions. Experience installing/configuring/implementing Oracle EBS modules including P2P, O2C, Financials, ASCP, Master Data, etc. and interfaces to other applications.
  • Proficient knowledge and understanding of Oracle Application Architecture.
  • Proficient at writing and understanding complex SQL queries used for extracting large datasets. Oracle Apex and Web Services a plus.
  • Working knowledge in the use of industry standard Project Management methodologies and tools as well as managing complex full-life cycle technology projects. Certifications in Project Management such as PMP is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex business processes and map accordingly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex cross functional problems, quickly grasp concepts related to industry specific design/development and articulate them in a clear and concise way to foster project team collaboration.
  • Collaborative and Engaging: Build constructive working relationships, with a high level of acceptance, cooperation, and mutual respect.
  • Customer-service skills: Be patient and sympathetic. Help employees with the IT applications they are trying to use.
  • Problem-solving skills: Identify simple and complex IT applications problems, analyze them, determine root cause, propose solutions, implement best solution and verify that the problem has been solved.
  • Analytical skills: Evaluate complex business problems and translate those into viable IT applications solutions. Assess how changes will affect current IT applications environment and determine how to minimize and manage the impact and how to efficiently implement the solution.
  • Communication: Effectively convey ideas and facts in writing and orally using language the audience will best understand.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer in an office environment.
  • Corporate Office Setting; Customers’ Plants and Offices.
  • Occasionally lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Some work may be required outside of standard business hours.
