Job description
IT Manager/Server Administrator
Luther Home of Mercy, a residential care facility for adults with developmental disabilities, located in Williston Ohio is currently searching for an IT Manager/Server Administrator.
This position is responsible:
The IT Manager/Server Administrator performs network administration & planning for all aspects of IT-network infrastructure – to include network equipment, servers, and software applications. Brings in reliable, durable, and cost-effective solutions for all IT related needs. Also Manages IT staff at Luther Home and heads up projects requiring IT help. This position is on site
· Responsible for Managing IT Staff
· Responsible for regular and timely attendance as scheduled. Maintain good working relationships with fellow staff members.
· Perform a wide range of network administration duties including installations, debugging, maintenance, upgrades, and general support.
· Evaluate, test, and deploy all software and hardware upgrades to the networking infrastructure.
· Evaluate, install, & maintain updates on servers.
· Significant experience working with Windows Server OS’s and network monitoring tools.
· Assist in the configuration and deployment of core and peripheral network devices.
· Proactive monitoring of all network utilization data for capacity and planning purposes.
· Interface with vendors for procurement & maintenance of all IT infrastructures.
· Work closely with the fellow tech team members to provide end-user-support and issue resolution
· Maintain up-to date knowledge of emerging tools and technologies
· Research, evaluate, and recommend technologies to support business requirements.
· Rigorously create and maintain documentation for all processes and procedures.
· Collaborate with and support the work of other staff engage in similar functions.
· Coordinate with the rest of the IT team to meet the team objectives.
· Provide emergency 24/7 on-call support
· Strong knowledge of networking, including: wireless, TCP/IP, VLAN’s, Ethernet, switching, routing, routing protocols, and DNS.
· Strong technical aptitude and ability to research & solve complex issues independently.
· Willingness and ability to learn new skills and apply them as needed.
· Ability to effectively communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the organization.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal information.
· Relate program philosophy and procedures to the general public in a positive manner.
· Promote communication, choice making, independence, socialization, and empowerment for the residents.
· Provide person-centered supports which requires flexibility, creativity, and commitment.
· Other assigned tasked from IT Director

Applicant must meet the following qualifications:
Formal Education & Certification: Minimum 2-year degree in Networking, Computer Science, Information Technology or Certifications in related fields (related work experience may be considered instead of a degree). Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Network Administration (preferred).
Knowledge & Experience: Working technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Mac, Windows, Windows Server OS and Apple IOS. Support experience with applications such as Microsoft Office 365, Firewalls, File-maker, Adobe products, Active Directory, and remote desktop. Hands-on hardware and software troubleshooting experience. Understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives. Knowledge of applicable data privacy and HIPAA practices and laws.

Trustworthy and able to keep confidential information. Genuine interest in working with developmentally and physically challenged individuals to help better their lives.
Work Conditions: On-call 24/7 availability for emergency needs. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, hand and power tools, and to handle other computer components. Inspect and install cables in floors and ceilings. Lifting and transporting of heavy to moderately heavy objects, such as computer and peripherals. Travel to remote locations to install and repair equipment.
