BACKGROUND:

Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY&IMF) has just established a detachment in Guam (NAVSHIPYD & IMF DET GUAM). This key industrial site supports a broad spectrum of naval vessel/submarine maintenance, overhaul, and repair activities. The purpose of this contract is to provide project planning, execution and support services in Code 200, Engineering and Planning Department (EPD), and other support departments to support ship systems maintenance, repair and testing during availabilities at NAVSHIPYD & IMF DET GUAM.

OVERVIEW:

Strategic Technology Institute, Inc. (STi) is hiring a Configuration Management Support Specialist to join our team supporting the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility Detachment in Guam (NAVSHIPYD & IMF DET GUAM). This role is part of a multi-functional team providing engineering, planning, and configuration support for U.S. Navy submarine and surface vessel maintenance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain and update Ship’s Selected Records (SSR) across assigned projects.
  • Review and process Technical Variance Documents (TVDs) for reportable changes; coordinate updates with Planning Yards.
  • Manage Departures from Specifications (DFS) and Liaison Action Requests (LAR) programs.
  • Ensure accurate and complete reporting of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) data in SCLSIS and COSAL systems.
  • Identify logistics-related issues and develop actionable recommendations for resolution.
  • Monitor ILS data submissions to ensure timely and complete delivery.
  • Provide document control support for technical data within Code 200.
  • Mentor military and civilian personnel on ship configuration documentation, including SRDs, TVDs, DFSs, and LARs.
  • Interpret and assess nuclear and non-nuclear system drawings for configuration accuracy.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Secret Security Clearance
  • Minimum 10 years of configuration management experience supporting U.S. Navy vessels.
  • Demonstrated experience with SUBSAFE, DSS-SOC, FBW SCS, and Level 1 compliance.
  • Working knowledge of shipboard mechanical, structural, electrical, and combat systems.
  • Proficiency with Navy ILS documentation processes and ship configuration tools (SCLSIS, COSAL).

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience supporting NAVSEA, PHNSY&IMF, or other naval shipyards.
  • Familiarity with AIM systems and project documentation.
  • Background mentoring or training uniformed personnel in technical procedures.

Pay: $45.24 - $55.29 per hour
