Location: North Austin, TX - hybrid 3 days per week (after 2-3 months of employment, open to individual coming onsite 1-2 times per week)

Job Summary
Our Cloud Infrastructure DevOps team plays a pivotal role in designing and deploying robust infrastructure solutions to support SAP products and services. We are an automation-first organization, prioritizing the deployment of all our cloud resources via automation to enhance efficiency and consistency. Our engineers collaborate closely with internal product teams and customer-facing units to deliver adaptable and scalable code that meets the requirements of our diverse clientele. Candidates will have the opportunity to work across various cloud providers using a wide range of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tooling and practices, developing provider-agnostic solutions that ensure seamless functionality across different platforms. Our infrastructure supports a broad client base, including local, state, and federal government agencies, as well as private sector organizations engaged in government-related missions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development teams to implement CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Manage cloud infrastructure using AWS services to ensure high availability and scalability.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to servers and applications.
• Implement microservices architecture to enhance application modularity and scalability.
• Utilize tools such as Jira for project management and tracking progress in Agile environments.
• Write scripts for automation using SQL, Ant, or other relevant programming languages.
• Ensure security best practices are followed in all deployments and infrastructure management.
• Participate in Scrum meetings to discuss project status, challenges, and solutions.

Skills

Must be able to go onsite 3x per week in the office in North Austin, TX
6+ years of experience in a DevOps Engineer position, having come from an infrastructure background (not App Dev)
Experience using Terraform on a daily basis to build modules for deploying applications in AWS or Azure
Experience with Ansible for application deployment and cloud management to deliver the solution
Experience with Python coding for infrastructure as code
Experience with Linux OS administration and networking
Cloud architecture knowledge with AWS or Azure

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $65.02 - $71.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
