Position Overview
Edgestone Staffing is seeking a hands-on, versatile Information Technology (IT) Services Administrator who will also serve as the company’s primary Help Desk resource and ERP System Administrator. This is a critical individual-contributor role responsible for maintaining the reliability, security, and performance of all technology systems supporting a 75-person, single-facility precision sheet metal manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who enjoys working across the full IT spectrum—from end-user support and network administration to ERP configuration and reporting. Key ResponsibilitiesEnd-User Support & IT Help Desk
- Serve as the primary help desk contact for all IT-related issues across office, engineering, and production teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, network connectivity, software applications, phone systems, and mobile devices.
- Maintain ticketing or issue-tracking logs and ensure timely resolution of user requests.
- Provide onboarding and offboarding support, including equipment setup and user access provisioning.
- Develop and maintain IT documentation, user guides, and basic training materials.
IT Systems Administration
- Maintain, monitor, and support company servers, workstations, internet connectivity, and network infrastructure.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, group policies, and system backups.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices, including patching, antivirus, firewall management, and access controls.
- Administer Microsoft 365, email security, shared drives, and collaboration tools.
- Oversee hardware lifecycle management (procurement, imaging, deployment, replacement, and decommissioning).
- Support manufacturing-floor technology such as barcode scanners, label printers, data collection devices, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
ERP Administration
- Manage day-to-day administration of the company ERP system (Epicor).
- Support ERP users across Operations, Production Control, Engineering, Finance, Quality, and Sales.
- Create and maintain user roles, permissions, workflows, and configuration settings.
- Troubleshoot ERP issues, coordinate with vendors, and manage updates and patches.
- Develop custom reports, dashboards, and queries to support business decision-making.
- Assist with process mapping and continuous improvement initiatives tied to ERP functionality.
- Support system integrations between Epicor and related platforms (MES, Quality, Scheduling, CRM, Quoting, barcode/scanner systems, etc.).
- Provide ERP training and user support as needed.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 3–7 years of hands-on IT experience in a small to mid-sized company or similar environment.
- Strong customer-service mindset with proven help desk and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience administering Windows-based environments.
- ERP administration experience or heavy ERP user experience within a manufacturing setting.
- Solid understanding of networking technologies (TCP/IP, switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, Wi-Fi).
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity standards and practical protections.
- Strong documentation, communication, and time-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in precision sheet metal, machining, fabrication, or discrete manufacturing environments.
- Experience with ERP or manufacturing systems such as Epicor, JobBOSS², E2, Global Shop, Visibility, or similar platforms.
- Experience with Power BI, SQL querying, or custom report development.
- Familiarity with on-prem, cloud, and hybrid IT environments.
- IT-related certifications are a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $46.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
