Job description
We are seeking an experienced IT Director to lead our team of IT staff and Software Engineers. The ideal candidate possess excellent communication and teambuilding skills with the ability to motivate with accountability and actions. Our IT Director will own IT Execution Discipline, enforcing internal and external deadlines, track progress across cross-functional teams and maintain excellence in alignment with our business priorities.
Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership and Execution:
- Oversee daily operations of the IT Department, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and deadlines
- Enforce adherence to project timelines, deliverables, and milestone across infrastructure and software development
Governance and Accountability:
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), service-level agreements (SLAs), and performance dashboards.
- Hold internal teams and externa vendors accountable for delivery timelines and quality standards
- Lead the cadence of weekly operations reviews
Team Management and Culture:
- Foster a culture of discipline, ownership and transparency across all IT initiatives
- Partner closely with the COO, CFO, and VP of National Operations to forecast staffing, budgets and operational resources
Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement
- Analyze workflows, identify inefficiencies, drive automation to improve operational speed and accuracy
- Lead KPI tracing and continuous improvement programs across IT service delivery and support
- Integrate tools to standardize execution and visibility
Education, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Information Systems, Computer Science, or related degree
- Preferred 10+ years of IT operations or technology program management experience
- Preferred 5+ years in a leadership or director-level role overseeing cross-functional IT teams
- Proven success in enforcing deadlines, managing complex technical programs, and delivering measurable outcomes.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development lifecycles and managed services
- Exceptional organizational, communication and leadership skills
- High sense of urgency with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Solid experience in DBA
- Strong problem solver with an innovative approach
- Experience in working with multiple, cross-functional managers and stakeholders with the ability to influence resolution f conflicting objectives
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to effective present complex solutions to technical and non-technical audiences in all levels of an organization
- Current on leading edge technology for IT systems and Cybersecurity with the ability to make appropriate recommendations to Executive Management
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
