Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure software and hardware
  • Manage network servers and technology tools
  • Set up accounts and workstations
  • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
  • Troubleshoot issues and outages
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
  • Upgrade systems with new releases and models
  • Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
  • Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
  • Resolving IT support requests from employees
  • Manage service incidents requiring escalation and/or on-site intervention
  • Answering employee questions regarding computer systems
  • Changing configurations, settings and permissions to fix computer issues
  • Gathering and analyzing data to diagnose problems with computer systems
  • Generating sign-ins for new hires during onboarding
  • Installing new software and hardware drivers and updating existing ones as needed
  • Updating employees on the status of their service requests
  • Logging all service requests as needed
  • Acts as a liaison between user group and the information technology unit to communicate problems and possible solutions
  • Adhere to the procedures and escalation processes as defined by Management
  • Research new technologies and procedures to meet the needs of users
  • Provides training to user groups on how to identify and prevent problem
  • Maintains computerized inventory of PC equipment and software through our support platform
  • Works with other professional IT personnel and vendors to develop and maintain technical procedures, documentation, and operations instructions and/or project or work order status

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience
  • Solid Information Technology experience performing user support of desktop, legacy systems, and/or information technology communications systems
  • Knowledge and experience in administering and troubleshooting of PC and print environments including network connectivity.
  • Knowledge and experience in administering and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows environments.
  • Knowledge, operational proficiency and troubleshooting ability of standard business applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, O365, Internet Explorer (all versions), Google Chrome (all versions), Adobe PDF Reader and Writer, Antivirus software
  • Knowledge and experience in diagnostics and troubleshooting of hardware: laptops (Apple, Lenovo) , printers (Epson, HP, Kyocera, Xerox)
  • Intermediate knowledge and experience in the implementation and support of SMB internetworking infrastructure: LAN, WAN and wireless appliances
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in diagnostics and troubleshooting both hardware and software related issues on desktop or laptop computers and related peripherals, printers or multifunction devices along with installed options and advanced features.
  • Possess good knowledge of Active Directory administration skills (user create/delete, profiles, login scripts along with a general knowledge of networking concepts (IP addressing)
