About the Role

We’re seeking a highly skilled Senior System Administrator with strong customer service skills to join our MSP. In this role, you’ll maintain, upgrade, and manage multiple clients’ software, hardware, and networks. Your goal is to ensure that each client’s network infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently while building strong, trusted relationships.

You should be a problem-solver with a solid technical background, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a proactive approach to system reliability and security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure for optimal performance and availability.
  • Provide fast and effective technical support for end users (both in-person and remote).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues in Windows, Active Directory, and third-party applications unique to each client.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, servers, and applications (Windows 11, Windows Server, Office 365, Exchange on-prem).
  • Administer user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Perform regular security monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and system backups.
  • Apply OS patches and upgrades regularly; maintain administrative tools and utilities.
  • Maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Support end users and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members.
  • Document configurations, procedures, and system inventories.
  • Respond promptly to calls, emails, and messages during business hours, and be available or arrange coverage for emergency issues after hours.

Qualifications — Required

  • Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of system and network administration (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, firewalls).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator, or RHCSA.
  • Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and/or cloud platforms (Azure).
  • Experience with server and Exchange on-prem → Office 365 migrations.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell or other scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of IT security best practices and compliance frameworks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60.00 per hour
