Cycrest Systems (visit us at www.cycrest.com!) is Spokane’s premier customer-service driven, outsourced IT service provider (Managed Services and Security Provider – MSSP). As we continue to grow and expand we’re looking for a talented Level 2 Workstation, Network and Server Administrator to join our team.
This is an in-office position in our Spokane, Washington location. While occasional “remote or work from home” options may be provided based on employees needs from time to time, this is an in-office position.

In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting Windows Server OS, Workstation OS and networking issues, collaborating with vendors for third-party software support when needed, managing network infrastructure, and maintaining server and workstation systems. Your primary focus will be on providing exceptional customer service to our valued clients, while supporting and mentoring team members.

Technical Responsibilities of a Level II/Engineer II Position
- Troubleshooting/Repairing/Deploying and Managing computer systems for the small and mid-sized business. This includes: servers, workstations, networking equipment, application software.
- Advanced and escalated troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows servers, workstation operating system and network issues.
- Facilitating vendor support for third-party software to solve escalated issues.
- For higher skilled applicants, Project management and deployment of server, network and workstation installations, upgrades and network refreshes. Including: server hardware builds, OS installation and configuration, software and application installation, configuration and deployment of physical and virtual machines.
- This position not only works with basic network issues, but also higher-level issues and concerns found in various sized systems, from small, single-site environments to large, multi-site networks.
Professional preferred skills and qualities:
- Proven experience in troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues.
- In-depth knowledge of multiple network operating systems, protocols, security best practices, and implementation techniques.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on providing timely and effective solutions surrounded by industry best practices.
- Strong communication, teamwork, leadership and collaboration skills, able to work effectively as part of a team to achieve shared goals.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, effectively manage time and prioritize tasks.
- A proactive thought process, and outgoing personality, eager to take on new challenges and learn continuously.
- Familiarity with the Greater Spokane Area, including local businesses and organizations.
- Experience with Kaseya and Connectwise Manage software is a plus. Possession of A+, Net+, Security+, or related certifications is beneficial.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in systems administration or a related field.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in network administration or computer science is preferred but not required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance.
