Job description

Consolidated Networks Corporation (CNC) is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Information Systems Technologist to join our team. This position is at Ft. Irwin, the US Army National Training Center (NTC) located in the Mojave Desert, 40 miles northeast of Barstow, California. This is a complex fast-paced 24x7 DoD Army computing environment.

Requirements:

· U.S. Citizenship and an Active DoD Secret Security Clearance

· CompTIA Security+ certification

· 5-7 years of experience as a Database Systems Administrator

· May be required to work over the “normal” work hours due to rotational support.

Preferred Skills:

· Advanced knowledge of Information Technology

· Proficient knowledge of JLCCTC MRF/WARSIM functional operations

· Knowledge of how to set up, configure and troubleshoot various platforms within the JLCCTC Federation.

· Knowledge on how to integrate C2 systems

· Experience with Linux, SQL and Active Directory

· Proficient knowledge of Army War Fighting Functions:

o Mission Command

o Movement and Maneuver

o Intelligence

o Fires

o Sustainment/Logistics

o Protection

o Orders of Battle to accurately simulate scenarios

The ideal candidate will provide essential support for daily operations, operate various Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) Simulations in support of Force-on-Force (FoF) exercises, and provide System Matter Expert (SME) support of Mission Command Systems integrated with tactical simulations during training events. Candidate will assist in providing Army commanders and their battle staff with the capability to conduct collective digital mission command training at brigade echelon using an operationally relevant, constructive simulation environment that supports Army Decisive Action operations through Simulation/Stimulation (SIM/STIM). JLCCTC trains commanders and their staff in offensive, defensive, stability, and civil support operations and enables them to further develop their Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) skills.

Job Duties and Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the operability and maintenance of simulation data servers, client workstations using Windows OS and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
  • Responsible for building and managing a database with a complete task organizational structure and Modified Table of Organization and Equipment (MTOE) for the Warfighter Simulation (WARSIM) using the Scenario Generation (SGEN) tool to manage all Unit specific data and parameters for military platforms, personnel and equipment.
  • Responsible for the configuration, operation and integration of Simulations systems to ensure the proper interoperability between Simulation tactical systems and Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS) receiving simulation data.
  • Responsible for conducting and providing training and over-the-shoulder support for military personnel and contractors during rotational and non-rotational simulation exercises.
  • Responsible for assisting in the development and presentation of simulation system feedback for all levels of After Action Review’s (AAR’s).
  • And other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
