Position Title: Lead API Engineer

Position Location: Hybrid - 3 in office, 2 remote - In order of preference:

• Pittsburgh, PA

Target Start Date:

• ASAP

Mandatory Skills: 4- 6+ years

• API design/development
• Docker
• Experience in maintaining and developing software in production (installing and upgrading application software, applying security patches)
• Java/J2EE/Springboot
• JDBC connections/integrations
• Linux scripting knowledge
• OAuth authentications - Rest API
• Secondary skills - Hadoop basics, PostGreSql, Slurm with Jupyter notebook, Python

Role and the key responsibilities :

• Traditional work set, not Agile
• Attend daily standup
• Working in 2-week sprints
• Lots of collaboration with various lines of business
• Spending a lot of time interacting with vendor and their supports as well for proper integration
• Mission critical support is to the vendor

Flex skills:

• Exposure to below
• Hadoop basic understanding
• PostGreSql
• Slurm with Jupyter notebook
• Python

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
