Job description

Summary: Manages networks and their security by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Designs network security architecture and aids in the definition of network and security frameworks.

Participate in Fiber network provisioning system and implementation of equipment.

Assist in vendor triage and provide solutions to fiber network related issues.

Develops and implements monitoring capability for security infrastructure.

Monitors network traffic and makes recommendations for additional resources.

Provides networking assistance to users.

Researches and implements security and firewall strategies.

Analyzes incident data and logs to determine vulnerability of networks.

Recommends solutions to difficult security/network problems in existing and developing systems.

Specifies long-term plan for evolution of existing architecture and tools.

Manages interfaces between CSA and the Internet.

Ensure secure transmission of data thru the network and prevent malicious vectors from invading.

Conduct analysis of phishing emails and malware to prevent cyber threats more effectively.

Interact with other departments to ensure proper security practices are followed.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
